Respiratory Care
Encino Hospital Medical Center provides a full service Respiratory Care
Department. Our inpatient services include superior clinical interventions
provided through an interdisciplinary care team. This highly trained group
of clinicians' uses planning, patient assessment and the use of protocols
to facilitate high-quality patient care. Our highly skilled staff is available
24/7, 365 days per year.
Our inpatient services include ventilator monitoring, non-invasive positive
pressure ventilation, a full range of pulmonary therapeutics and diagnostic
testing, which includes arterial blood gas draws/analysis, and complete
pulmonary functions testing.
Our Respiratory Care Practitioners are Registered Respiratory Therapist
(RRT) or registry eligible by the National Board For Respiratory Care
(NBRC) and licensed by the State of California (RCP).
The Respiratory Care Department provides respiratory care services to patients ranging in age from neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult through geriatric. We provide a range of services that will meet the varying needs of patients in a caring and compassionate manner ranging from simple coughing and deep breathing, to care as complex as life sustaining mechanical ventilation.
